Day 16 - CURRY!

Tried something new today... curry... by choice. I've never been a fan of curry, but I have been craving it for ages... and I'm actually allowed to have curry paste! YAY, so I made a vegetable curry stir fry and added some chicken, and it was YUMMY! But you may need to ask me again tomorrow... because I can still kinda feel it! :P

I've a cold... again! I have a runny nose, and it sucks, it makes me feel drained... and crave carbs A LOT!!

Day 14 - She Sells Seashells

I weighed myself this morning.
145.8kg, I've lost 5.2kg since I started optifast... I'm half way to my 10kg goal that the doctor gave me. My tight track pants are starting to fit better. YAY!

I did exercise! YAY! I went for a walk on the beach and collected some shells. I found some really pretty ones!
I didn't see any whales, despite being told that they are there... somewhere!
I have a half day at work tomorrow because I'm headed to the bank in the afternoon to sort out my loan... get all the papers signed, and hopefully the money.

Accommodation is Perth is booked, so I don't have to be anxious about that anymore. It's such a relief... and it's going to cost less than I budgeted for, which is always good! YAY!

Today has been hard... work related. Thursday are always hard, they're the busiest days. I came home at lunch time and had a little cry, but I made it back to work, and survived.

I REALLY REALLY REALLY want a Hungry Jacks Whopper!!!! My sister had one yesterday (away from home) and she came home and said she felt so sick afterwards!

3 weeks until my surgery tomorrow... I had a missed call from my bank yesterday and when I rang back today, they couldn't help, because the person doing my loan is away until Monday... so I have to wait!! I hate waiting!

I keep forgetting to weigh myself in the morning.
I'm also struggling to drink 2 litres of water a day!

At work, they're trying to get uniforms. The committee are willing to pay for 2 shirts each, but if I'm going to loose all this weight, it's going to be a waste of money... and the shirts are like $80 each... so I don't want to have to replace them later out of my own pocket! Hmmm... I don't really know what is going to happen, some staff members don't want uniforms... I'm not too fussed... but I would prefer not. I would be happy with a jacket, but thats about it!

I took some "fat photos" on the weekend. So I can compare later.

Anyway, thanks for reading :) if you have any tips to help me drink more water, it would be much appreciated :)

I feel like I'm starting to get a hang of this. It's been a week... and I think I will be able to last the next couple of weeks.

I haven't heard from the bank about my loan yet, which is starting to stress mum out a little. I'm not too stressed yet, I plan to give them a call tomorrow and see how it's going.

I found a bike that I want! I don't think it's the right sort of bike for me (it's like a cross country mountain bike) but I love it, purely for the colours!
the Trek Superfly (even the name is pretty awesome) it's expensive... so I will probably never own one... and I'll probably find a different bike I love just as much.... but look at the colours! Beautiful!

Anyway... 24 days until my surgery... 25 days to lose about 8 kgs! I hope I can manage it!

I'm so excited about losing weight and buying a bike! 
I'm watching The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and have the worst case of Wanderlust... again!
When I lose weight, I'm hoping that I will be confident and go and explore the world!

Tomorrow is week one done! I will weigh myself first thing in the morning and then we will see how well this diet is going!

I'm currently waiting for my lasagna to cook. We used eggplant, mushroom and spinach as the pasta layer and made cauliflower sauce to be the cheese sauce. I'm very excited. I hope it tastes nice.

Went to the farmers market today and found a Spaghetti Squash. The seller said that they were the last of the season, which is a little sad, but it's all good. I'm surprised how much cheaper it is to buy vegetables at the farmers market... we spent $18 and got the squash, broccoli, 3 leeks, cos lettuce, Chinese cabbage, english spinach and pak choy.

I've been tidying my room today, so I'm not sitting in front of my computer eating, like I usually do. I'm trying to minimise everything I have, make it look cleaner and sleeker, and hopefully have some more room for painting and crafting.

I didn't feel very hungry at all today.

I had the worst stomach cramps and grumbly gut this morning, but after going to the toilet I was fine...

Very hard afternoon. Went shopping for food, and had an emotional breakdown in Woolworth's because of all the food I can't have.

I then had a emotional breakdown at home, because I dropped my salad on the floor :(

I went shopping, and because I can't buy food, I bought some scrapbooking paper and a book! Lost & Found by Brooke Davis.

I can't wait for the weekend, I'm hoping to get down to the farmers market - someone said that they sell Spaghetti Squash there!

Really craving Hungry Jacks Whopper today!
I went over my 100g lean meat quota! but I guess it could be worse!
No snacks today... so over carrot sticks!
Weighed myself this morning. I was 151.3kg on Monday morning... this morning I was 148.3kg... thats 3 kg is 2 days! Wowwowweewah!

My salad was really yummy for dinner tonight, so I will make one for lunch tomorrow.
Alex is going to make me pasta free, cheese free lasagna on the weekend. I'm quite excited.
Tomorrow I will buy some different flavoured shakes, and hopefully some bars.

It's hard! So very hard! I didn't think that it would be so hard to do!
Yesterday, after my first day, I had a breakdown! I cried and cried... then I was exhausted so I went to bed at 9pm!
I dreamt about vegetables! Giant purple radishes! Long story!
Also, today at work a parent bought us pastries, because he picks up his son late... andI couldn't have one.... and we had cupcakes because it was a childs' birthday... and I couldn't have one! I'm very proud of myself for saying no... but :'(

Molly's Meal Plan - Day 1

D-Day Meal Plan!
Day 1

Starting weight: 151.3kg

In order to shrink my fat liver before surgery, I have been asked to do 4 weeks on the Optifast Diet. I'm not looking forward to it, but I feel motivated enough that I will be able to do it! I need to lose 10kg before Sept 26th.

My dietian has allowed me to have 100g of lean meat a day, on top of the allowed Optifast foods.

Broccoli, Cauliflower & Leek Soup

Dinner
100g Lean Chicken (basil & lemon)

Midnight Tears

Last night, while I was lying in bed, I had a little cry. A cry because I was thinking about being skinnier... and I've never been skinnier... I've always been fat and it was all a little overwhelming.
I know it's going to cost me a lot of money, but in the long run, it's the BEST THING EVER I could do for MYSELF!

I no longer care what others think or say about my choices, I even considered announcing my upcoming surgery on Facebook, but I will wait until it's a little bit more finalised.
I have 12 hours of sick leave at work... definitely not enough for 3 weeks off... GREAT!
I did ring my insurance company, and I will be fully covered for hospital expenses in a private room... but not for surgeon and anaesthetist fees... which is going to be the most expensive... I'm hoping that at this appointment on the 11th July, I will be able to get some actual costs.
After I get back from holidays, I'm going to head to the bank and see if I can get a personal loan or something similar... But who knows how I'm going to get this money!

I've started to look into diets to shrink my liver, because that is something that is really important to do before surgery, which will help heaps. This article is very informative!
